It is enough for us all to eat and have to lunch so you might half it 🙂 Also I have done it in the Crock-Pot but prefer it cooked on the stove top and it only takes 30 minutes so not a huge amount of time.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons oil (olive oil or butter)
- 2 Medium onions (yellow)
- 8 carrots
- 1 Whole Head celery
- 1 Small Head cabbage
- 2 Packages kielbasa sausages (Parkview Turkey Polska Kielbasa from Aldi)
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- 1/8 Teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 Teaspoons oregano
- 3 Cups broth (works with vegetable, chicken, and beef)
Instructions
- In pan sauté ingredients Turn burner on Add oil & chopped onion to pan Then chop each vegetable and add to pot as you go
- Stir as needed. You want to get some color on the vegetables before adding the broth. I normal put cornbread in the oven then start the soup and they are both ready about the same time.
